This movie keeps you on your toes, while also wondering if the apocalypse is real or is it just a series of hallucinations. The cast includes Michael Shannon, Jessica Chastain, Shea Whigham, Katy Mixon, and Kathy Baker. Take Shelter has won two Saturn Awards, Best Writing for Nichols and Best Actor for Shannon. Rotten Tomatoes rated it a 92 out of 100. If you love a good thriller movie, watch this and you won’t regret it.
The Report (2019)
The report is a political drama film. It is directed and written by Scott Z. Burns. The plot involves Daniel J. Jones having a task to get to the bottom of the CIA’s torture program. This is a really tedious process and it begins to take a toll on our main character. This film is emotionally compelling and it keeps you wanting more. The cast consists of Adam Driver, Ted Levine, Annette Bening, Michael C. Hall, Corey Stoll, Tim Blake Nelson, Maura Tierney, and Jon Hamm. The report had 3 wins and 10 nominations. Rotten Tomatoes rated it 82 out of 100. I highly recommend this movie, it does not disappoint.
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is a sports comedy film. It was directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber. The movie is about a gym owner named Peter LaFleur who tries to save his old beaten down gym for his arch-enemy White Goodman. Whose only desire is to buy Average Joe’s gymnasium (Peter’s gym) and turn it into a new parking lot for his luxurious gym ( Globo Gym). The movie stars: Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, and Rip Thorn. The movie had 2 nominations and 2 wins. Rotten Tomatoes rated it a 71 out of 100.
