Adobe is a computer software company that launched the Adobe Creative Cloud, a software meant for creators of all kinds. As camera rolls reach the thousands, different methods of storing pictures become a common thought. Compartmentalizing our photos and videos becomes important when optimizing storage and allowing ourselves to create more content. Similar to this, organizing our creative skills and curiosities, optimize our freedom to bring more focus to specific outlets, and easily learn from others.
The Adobe Creative Cloud provides multiple types of editing software that fine-tunes creative skills. It does this in an organized way through its own cloud. By logging into it from your desktop and even through your mobile device, you can access diverse ways to articulate your creative ideas into crafted visuals. Film and photography in particular are two software through the Adobe Creative Cloud that offers intuitive editing. These two software Lightroom and Premiere Pro are easy to use and important for skill-building.
The Adobe Creative Cloud
The Adobe Creative Cloud Suite comprises several apps aimed at digital editing and design. Not to mention, it has over 20 of them that can be used on a desktop or mobile devices, allowing you to apply a diverse range of creative skills. Adobe Creative Cloud is designed for those with creative skills, but also those seeking knowledge about the creative world. Drawing, painting, web design, photoshop, photo, and video editing are just a few of the technologies available. They come with short tutorials and you can find hundreds of tutorials for these apps on Youtube and even LinkedIn.
Payment Plans + Certification
The Adobe Suite is very useful in the workplace even if your job does not require it. Different certifications are available to add to your resume so employers know which creative software you have advanced skills in. When purchasing the adobe suite, you can choose from individual, business, student and teacher, and the schools and universities plan. It isn’t a requirement to purchase the monthly plan for the entire suite either. Individual apps can be selected with an affiliated price for that specific software that you pay for monthly. The entire creative cloud usually goes for $52.99 a month for all 20+ apps. However, there are different promotions depending on the time of year and the status of your occupation. If you are a student, you can get a discounted plan of 60% off for $19.99 a month.
Film
The primary app for film users in the creative cloud is Premiere Pro. The video editing software in Premiere makes intuitive sense and is easy to learn for beginners or advanced video editors. My favorite part about this software is the limitless possibilities for editing different kinds of videos. Whether it be a montage, documentary, short film, or trailer the technology in this app is easy to learn.
It does take practice and memorization to learn when to use the commands and applying shortcuts. I noticed whether you use the same clips or make several short videos, there are several layers of learning involved. Expectations are constantly blown out of the water when it comes to editing, and creative pathways are endless. In addition to its manageable design, it is compatible with other apps in the cloud such as After Effects for special effects. Since both software is in the same cloud, it makes it easy to learn simultaneously about graphic motion and its relationship with simple video editing.
Take advantage of the tutorials in the “Learn” window and take notes on editing techniques recommended by more experienced Premiere users on other social media platforms. Take spontaneous video and practice editing techniques like cutting, adding multiple tracks, adding sound effects, adjusting volume, organizing files and bins, and making simple transitions.
Photo
Adobe Lightroom is the app dedicated to editing photography. Its layout is similar to many other photo editing apps in that you can adjust exposure and other scales easily. However, the software allows you to edit very specific portions of the photo in subtle ways that complements your personal photography style. Through Lightroom, you can also organize edited and unedited photos by album and then share these with others outside the software.
Its sharing display makes it easy to create professional-looking portfolios through album sharing. Another perk is that it is extremely easy to use on a mobile device. If you import pictures into Lightroom and don’t have the time to sit at a desktop and thoroughly edit, you can use the app. Using the mobile app allows you to access the photos you imported at any time to organize, share, or edit. When editing, make sure you turn your brightness up so you can accurately fine-tune the lighting. If your light source is lower or brighter than your desktop then the images can show up with significantly different looks on the opposite device.
