With practically every social media platform releasing new features and programs for creators, Snapchat is no different. On May 5, 2021, the app revealed their launch of the Creator Marketplace, a way for businesses and brands to partner with Snapchat’s creator community.
Creator Marketplace
According to Snap,
The Creator Marketplace integrates Creators directly into our advertising ecosystem for businesses to connect with Lens Creators, Lens Developers, Lens Partners, and eventually Snap Stars to help elevate their marketing presence on Snapchat.
Team Snap
In other words, the Creator Marketplace will allow for businesses to easily partner with creators. This, as a result, will allow businesses and brands to utilize the expertise of creators “who know the Snapchat Generation best.” While on the other hand, Snap creators will gain opportunities to grow and “build their own business on Snapchat.”
As you can see from Snapchat’s Newsroom, creators will be able to post profiles—and their production fees—for businesses to see.
Does it include all creators?
As of now, the answer is unfortunately no. Initially, the Creator Marketplace will solely be available for businesses to partner with select AR Creators. However, don’t be discouraged. Snapchat in 2022 intends to expand this feature to include all Snap Creators.
If you don’t currently qualify, keep this information in your back pocket until the marketplace becomes more inclusive of all Snap Creators. It’ll be sooner than you think!
