Psychedelic art is all the rage on Instagram and beyond. There are people who paint, draw, and create different worlds in their art. These are some artists that you need to follow ASAP. There’s nothing better than scrolling through your feed and seeing something colorful and trippy. Art like that inspires me to get moving. Read on and go make some shit!
Chloe Lee is a Kentucky-based artist I found on Instagram a while back. She makes incredible paintings and drawings that are fun and eye-catching. She fills her page with psychedelic art that makes you feel like you’re traveling to another planet. I have a couple of drawings that I bought on Etsy that never fail to start the conversation. I love bright colors and trippy designs, so Chloe Lee’s work is always fun to browse through!
Oliver did all of the art for the music festival Bonnaroo a couple of years in a row. His psychedelic art is so good that Clipper felt the need to copy him for their lighters. Stealing art is lame, but Oliver Hibert isn’t. If you want to support him, don’t buy any Clipper lighters with his art on them! Support him directly by buying from his store. The link is here. He made a really sick set of Tarot cards that is sure to take you to another realm.
Dreyfus’s psychedelic art hits a different note. She makes amazing posters with really cute sayings reminding everyone to take care of themselves and others. Her art is still somewhat trippy because she tries to paint scenes of another world. On her website it says “Dreyfus has created an entire world that exists in her mind depicting humans as alter egos of themselves, coming out to play and experience joy in an everyday life without judgment.” We love!
I know of this artist through Etsy. They make amazing posters with sayings that make you think twice. For example, “Time is an illusion.” The sayings are always coupled with incredibly detailed art that is really impressive. Their prints are reasonably priced, and are marked as a bestseller on Etsy! Get a print, here.
Which of these artists is your favorite? Are you dying to go out and pick up some psychedelic art? Maybe it’s just me, but looking at brightly colored art boosts my creativity. After I look at the work of these artists, I want to write in my journal, make a cup of tea, and maybe go out and take some photos. There’s so much talent out there it’s impossible not to feel inspired when you see something cool!
