A photographer went viral last month for deleting all wedding photos after being denied food, water, and a 20-minute break. The photographer is not a wedding photographer but a dog groomer and a former friend of the newlyweds. The couple hired the photographer for only $250 dollars. He gained his not-so-professional photography experience from taking pictures of his dogs. Where he showcases them on his Facebook and Instagram pages. He claimed on Reddit that he was supposed to be working from 11 am to 7:30 pm. The food was served at 5 p.m. He was told that he could not set down and eat because he had to continue being the photographer. He even mentions that he did not have a seat at the table.
Heat and Hunger
Imagine standing on your feet for 6 hours under the hot sun and being told that you can’t eat or have a drink let alone a 20-minute break. It is unfair and inconsiderate. He says that the venue is at an old veteran legion with no AC, and to add that there was no staff to get water. When he told the groom that he would like something to eat and a break the groom’s response was that “ I need you to be a photographer or leave without pay.”
The Photographer said at that point with the unbearable heat, hunger pains, being thirsty, and above all being extremely annoyed, he ask his friend if he was sure and he replied yes. Causing the photographer to delete all photos from the wedding in front of him and leave saying “I’m not the photographer anymore.” He added that he would at that point if he was to be paid $250 he would have paid $250 dollars just to have a glass of water and sit for at least 5 minutes.
The newlyweds went on their honeymoon and have taken a break from social media after people ask them about their wedding photos.
Social media for the photographer’s rescue
Evidently, the post went viral on Reddit with people choosing sides on whether who was wrong or not. The post was uploaded with the caption “AITA for deleting my friend’s wedding photos in front of them” the post received over 21 thousand likes and over 2 thousand comments. Most of the comments were in the photographer’s favor. And, I would have to agree. Those are not very good friends. After all, Friends don’t let friends starve nevertheless die of dehydration. The couple had it coming. Shame on them for taking advantage of sometimes doing a discounted favor.
