Galleries are back open to the public, and I couldn’t be happier. And, in the evolving yet exciting climate of New York City, there’s a seemingly endless list of artistic opportunities. Start your journey off right with these five gallery exhibits, this fall season. That is now up and running in the city. I certainly plan to visit in the next few months. From classic fashion to avant-garde pop art installations, there’s an exhibit out there for every artist imaginable.

Undercurrent
The Undercurrent exhibit is open now at the Jefferson. It is a 60,000 square ft installation that combines the artistic and musical creations of many iconic creators. To sum up it includes The 1975, Jorja Smith, Miguel, Bon Iver, Khurangabin, and many more. Each exhibit explores the theme of the present climate crisis in a unique way, for instance through the creative visions of your favorite music creators.

Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams
Calling all fashion fanatics, this one’s for you. The Christian Dior exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum traces the history of the iconic fashion house. Here you’ll find a vast array of storied haute couture garments, as well as archival videos, sketches, photographs, accessories, and many other collected works.

The Hippest Trip in America – By Land, Air, and Sea
Artist Alake Shilling’s newest exhibit at the Jeffery Deitch is not only a luxurious view but also a melodic journey to experience. Shilling’s paintings and ceramic sculptures are all on a prescribed “groovy journey of self-discovery,” inspired by Soul Train. Which is a show that the artist herself grew up watching. Stroll through the exhibit to view a number of exciting, pop-culture-infused works that represent Shilling’s own journey of personal discovery.

A Lexicon of Fashion
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is surely the best choice for a day of art exploration. The newly opened Lexicon of Fashion exhibit is the perfect opportunity to travel through American history. It features a unique, physical medium that showcases iconic textiles and clothing pieces. The exhibits record and explores the US history of fashion within the context of American cultural identity.

Feels Good
Artist Austin Lee’s multi-medium art exhibit is a burst of color that’s sure to thrill any pop art fanatic.
