Do you love furniture, home decor and design? Well, if so, you may be able to join West Elm’s new ambassador program known as the West Elm Collective.
On April 8, 2021, the Brooklyn-based global design company announced that their first creator program intends to allow creators to showcase their favorite products and express their own personal style.
What’s West Elm Collective’s goal?
The goal of the new creator program is to simply have content creators and industry leaders “experience West Elm in new and creative ways that inspire their audiences, as well as our customers, to learn, shop, share and connect.” Essentially, their ambassador program will allow West Elm lovers to share their favorite collection pieces with consumers.
Who will the program consist of?
The program will consist of two groups: Insiders (content creators) and Tastemakers (industry leaders). If you’re wondering how many content creators are currently a part of the program—there’s 20. So, what will they receive? These diverse Insiders will “Receive early access to preview seasonal assortments, test new designs, and be the first to learn about exciting partnership launches and brand promotions.” This group intends to provide West Elm customers with insights and ideas about how they could too creatively use those same products in their own homes.
Similarly to Insiders, the expectation of Tastemakers is for them to share and lend their expertise/style about new product discoveries with audiences. In other words, the company expects Insiders to “direct audiences to their West Elm shop and encourages followers to explore their product selections.” Currently, there’s three highlighted tastemakers on their platform: Aurora James, Founder of Brother Vellies & The 15 Percent Pledge, Diego Olivero, Designer & co-founder of Meso Goods, and Erick Garcia, Founder of Maison Trouvaille.
